The following are some reasons people have given in the past as to why they do not go to art museums more often. For each reason, please tell whether it is a major reason why you do not go to musuems more often, a minor reason, or not a reason at all:

SRL paper

SRL is a laboratory/coalition of artists that pride their selves in create dangerous shows that entice their audiences into viewing their showsby playing off simple human nature. by playing on human nature, that is where they get their success. As humans we tend to be drawn to things that scare us and frighten us. We all look for that rush,  the adrenaline, that natural high that keeps us from doing other drugs such as  amphetamines, cocaine, and other stimulants. The Srl team uses the 3 D's to control disaster (time, sculpture, and 2D flyers). Their performances use the 4D element, their mechs use the sculpture (3D) element, and their flyers (2D) give the audience knowledge that their shows will not only be on April 22nd at 11 pm, but will be dangerous.   I believe that they don't actually promote mechanized violence, they do it so we don't have to. In the video we watched in class, they said many times to not try this at home. Yanks with tanks, maybe they are.  This is where their setting of Amstrodam comes in. Amsterdam is a stage for ingenuity, and new ideas. Their ideas of what their art should be is really revolutionary, and ofcourse it will be met with some opposition. Where they're is good, they're is always bad, and vice versa. And the advocates of certain parties are going to stand for what they believe in.  But I think that SRL will prosper from this because any publicity is still publicity. PR is what makes certain artists famous. With this, I come in to the topic of why they can't go into Tripoli or the other areas mentioned.  They can't go and do shows in places where war played a toll on their society;since one of their themes is war, they will fail gloriously, and will probably get shown out of the country (if they make in the country) with some bigger guns then they took in there. Perhaps they know something we don't know. It takes a lot of guts to do what they are doing. SRL knows that humans are drawn to violence, and this is where they get their audience.

a. What was the most enjoyable thing you saw? Why?
the most enjoyable thing was all the Asian art(cant really choose one lol)
Probably because that particular style of art has influenced my art in so many ways.b. What what was the most disturbing thing you saw? Why?
I couldn't stand any of the pieces that played with just color and especially the one with the lights that spun around the room.
I don't really enjoy throwing up by looking at art is my reason lol.
c. What piece in the museum is the most like something you might make yourself, or would like to make? Why?
I enjoyed the Picasso piece I have in the last picture I posted.
I don't want to do a cubistic piece, but i enjoy his symbolism and want to it in my type of surrealism

Lecture hw for 3-5

Pic taken of me by me with some homies.
This is a photo that was taken on a night that changed my life. That is why I keep it. I chose this for this assignment because I needed it for the grade, but my emotional attachment drew me to this one in my head.
I took this photo because I wanted not only myself to remember this moment, but I wanted to the others to remember this moment as well. This makes me view this as a stepping stone in my life instead of just a photo.

pic of me taken by someone else

The purpose is much similar to the above one. So I won't waste both of our times :)
Me and the photographer don't have much of a relationship, but we made a bond that night that I'm glad I went out of my way to make. The photographer must of enjoyed my company, for she took the picture, and I enjoy hers, as i let the picture be taken. This picture and the above one are meant to be viewed for as long as the relationship is to be had, and hope it is a life long bond.

a pic of keith buckley ( lead signer of everytime i die)
I chose this picture because Keith Buckley is an amazing artist, his medium is music.
And I again, needed it for the grade.
The photography is probably by  a fan, and the fan to musician relationship is something that is sacred if you know what I mean. I view this in this idolizing way that, as a fan, would view this such thing. Photos are meant to be viewed forever, that is why someone went through the trouble of taking this in the middle of a mosh pit, put it up on their blog, and tagged "Keith Buckley" in the tag section.
